homepage at CenterForNonDualism.org Following is from the homepage of the Center for Non Dualism: Purpose of our Center: The Center for Non-Dualism is a community for people who share the Non-Dual perspective of Religion, Yoga, and Philosophy. The purpose of the Center is to provide a nurturing fellowship and create an environment that is conducive to learning and experiencing the oneness of Non-Dualism. Meaning of Non-Dualism: Non-Dualism is the orientation that there is one absolute reality without a second, and that each of us, though individual people, is one with that, just as a wave is not separate from the ocean. The emphasis of our Center is on the practices such as contemplation and meditation which lead to the direct experience of this Non-Dual reality. Our Programs: The Center for Non-Dualism is based in Fort Walton Beach, Florida and serves the Emerald Coast of the Northwest Florida area. It is our wish to a greater visibility and accessibility of programs to our greater community for those people who share the Non-Dual perspective. Our weekly gatherings will be complemented by other programs either through the Center or the individual members in other venues. Views on Practices: Our view is that all dualistic religions, practices, and philosophies are practical tools that ultimately lead to the direct experience of the Non-Dual reality. The passion of devotion towards the divine or dualistic god or deity is felt to bring the joy of merging with the absolute, immanent, Non-Dual divinity. The awe filled insights of contemplation are thought to bring the highest knowing of the one Non-Dual existence which has no second. The intense focus of meditation pierces the levels of dualism and leads to the realization of the Non-Dual reality. All of these practices are considered to work together like fingers on a hand, leading one to the direct experience of being one with the Non-Dual. Organizing Council: A Council of people serve as advisors for the Center for Non-Dualism, including three who are equal Directors of the Council, with no one of the three in charge. These three Directors are (in alphabetical order) Bill Campbell, Swami Jnaneshvara, and a third to be determined. The names of the Council members are on the Organization page.
